How do you choose your wedding suit?

As wedding season rolls around again, grooms-to-be often feel a sense of anxiety... How do you envision and select the perfect outfit for the big day? Here are the key questions to ask yourself—ones that will help you dazzle your bride, reassure your mother, and convince your father-in-law once and for all that you truly are the ideal one.
The world of bespoke tailoring is so vast that I often meet young men who feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices. Having dressed many grooms, I have put together a list of questions to consider when planning a wedding outfit.
What is the theme or vibe of the wedding? Rustic? Vintage? Romantic? Simple and elegant?
Depending on the answer, we might lean towards a three-piece wedding suit or even a tuxedo (which is currently very trendy).
What is the wedding’s color scheme? It’s a great guide for choosing the suit color.

Often, the color you choose for your neckwear dictates the suit color. We can then echo that color in the stitching of the sleeve’s last buttonhole and in the shirt’s monogram. Alternatively, you might opt for the clean, classic look of black and ivory to match the wedding's style. Using the exact same suit fabric, you can achieve vastly different looks simply by changing the color of your tie or bow tie.
Once the color and fabric combinations are settled, the suit style and cut naturally fall into place: A three-piece suit with slim or peak lapels for a vintage feel, or perhaps a deep blue tuxedo with a shawl collar.
Which cuts suits the body type of the groom-to-be?
